I’m Stephen Pestell, founder of Solent Ceremonies, based on the beautiful South Coast of England. My life has been a voyage — from my years in the Royal Navy to raising a family, writing poetry, making music, and celebrating life’s milestones with people from all walks of life.

Those experiences taught me that every story deserves to be honoured with care, humour, and heart. As a celebrant, I bring calm professionalism, empathy, and a touch of fun to every ceremony — whether it’s a wedding, naming, or farewell.

I understand that life isn’t one-size-fits-all. As a parent of a son with autism and a proud grandparent, I create ceremonies that are inclusive, accessible, and deeply personal. My goal is simple: to help you mark your moment in a way that feels authentic, joyful, and truly yours.
